Paul K. Moser

Paul K. Moser (s.1957 Bismarckissa, Pohjois Dakotassa) on yhdysvaltalainen filosofi, jonka erikoistumisalueita ovat tietoteoria ja uskonnonfilosofia. Hän toimii filosofian professorina Chicagossa olevassa yliopistossa nimeltä Loyola University ja American Philosophical Quarterlyn toimittajana. Hän on kirjoittanut monia tutkimuksia tietoteoriasta ja uskonnonfilosofiasta, joissa hän kannattaa yhtä muotoa tietoteoreettista perustusteoriaa ja Jumalan tahdon vapautta korostavaa teismiä. Hänen viimeisimmät tutkimuksensa tuovat nämä kaksi näkemystä yhteen tukeakseen volitionaalista evidentialismia jumaluskon suhteen, vastakohtana fideismille ja perinteiselle luonnolliselle teologialle. Hänen tutkimustyönsä nojautuu joihinkin tietoteoreettisiin ja teologisiin oivalluksiin Blaise Pascalilta, John Omanilta ja H. H. Farmerilta. Hän lisää näihin (i) näkemyksen Jumalan olemassaolonn todisteista, jotka ovat niiden saatavilla, jotka pyrkivät saamaan Jumalasta tietoa, (ii) näkemyksen arvovaltaisesta todistusaineistosta vastakohtana katselijan saamalle todistusaineistolle, ja (iii) näkemyksen, jossa Jumalaa koskeva todistusaineisto personifioidaan niin että joistakin ihmisistä tulee todistusaineistoa Jumalan olemassaolon puolesta.
