Hän toimii filosofian professorina Chicagossa olevassa yliopistossa nimeltä Loyola University ja ''American Philosophical Quarterly''n toimittajana. Hän on kirjoittanut monia tutkimuksia tietoteoriasta ja uskonnonfilosofiasta, joissa hän kannattaa yhtä muotoa tietoteoreettista perustusteoriaa ja Jumalan tahdon vapautta korostavaa teismiä. Hänen viimeisimmät tutkimuksensa tuovat nämä kaksi näkemystä yhteen tukeakseen volitionaalista [[evidentialismi |evidentialismia]] jumaluskon suhteen, vastakohtana [[fideismi | fideismille]] ja perinteiselle luonnolliselle teologialle.
