Michael J. Behe on yhdysvaltalainen biokemisti ja uraauurtava ID-teorian kannattaja. Hän toimii biokemian professorina Lehighin yliopistossa, jossa hän on työskennellyt vuodesta 1985.1 Hän väitteli filosofian tohtoriksi vuonna Pennsylvanian yliopistossa vuonna 1978.2 Vuosina 19821985 hän toimi kemian apulaisprofessorina Queens Collegessa New Yorkissa.1 Hänet tunnetaan ehkä parhaiten teoksistaan Darwin's Black Box ja The Edge of Evolution sekä siitä, että hän kannattaa ID-teoriaa, "muttei koe elämän yhteistä alkuperää ongelmana".3 Yleisen harhaluulon vastaisesti hän ei ole kreationisti.4 Behe on naimisissa ja hänellä on yhdeksän lasta.5
